Congratulations to this year’s Peabody Award winners, Girls, Southland, Louie, Game Change, and Switched at Birth among them. Michael Apted’s Up movies and Doctor Who both won Institutional Peabody Awards, which are for long-running programs, and in an unusual move, Lorne Michaels won an individual award. Peabody Awards also went to D.L. Hughley: The Endangered List, the “This American Life” episode about a massacre in Guatemala, The Leonard Lopate Show, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, and ABC News for its coverage of its own Robin Roberts’s health crisis.
