Amanda Palmer Has Some Kickstarter Advice for Morrissey

Because she has not been in the news enough of late, Amanda Palmer — who used Kickstarter to fund her own album, before asking fans to play in her tour band for free — wrote an open letter to Morrissey recommending that he do the same. “You wouldn’t have to tour and risk your health … ” she says, referencing Morrissey’s recent tour cancellation. “You wouldn’t have to do any promotional work for it if you didn’t want to.” (Want to being the key words when we are talking about the professional provocative-quote-giver that is Morrissey.) There is some legitimate math in the letter, but it is mostly about how Amanda Palmer would like a more famous musician to validate her ideas. That sounds right.
