Modern Comedian, an excellent documentary web series following a different comedian each episode, is set to debut its third season tomorrow. Here’s a trailer for the show, featuring highlights from all three seasons. The series is directed by Scott Moran and distributed by PBS Digital. The first episode of the season will follow stand-up/writer Phil Hanley, with one about Jim Gaffigan coming next week. Moran tells us, “You can expect some big names and some surprises, one of whom isn’t even a comedian but a guy who had an amazing encounter with a very famously crazy comedian in the ‘70s.” Any guesses as to who that “famously crazy” ‘70s comedian is?
