Zach Galifianakis is returning to SNL. It was announced on air on this Saturday’s episode that the comedian will host the show’s next new episode on May 4th with Icelandic folk/pop group Of Monsters and Men serving as musical guest. This will be Galifianakis’s third time hosting after doing so previously in 2010 and 2011. Prior to becoming a movie star, he served as a guest writer for SNL for two episodes in 2000. Galifianakis is hosting in promotion of The Hangover Part III, which comes out May 24th. SNL will be taking a four-week break after this weekend’s Vince Vaughn episode. The Galifianakis show will be the first of the season’s final three shows of the year, so savor this last run of new episodes before the long summer hiatus.
