The CW Fall Schedule Has Changes on Every Night

The CW is shaking up 80 percent of its ten-hour lineup next fall, leaving only The Vampire Diaries and Arrow in their current time slots. The network’s biggest move: It’s scheduling its TVD spinoff The Originals Tuesday at eight rather than putting it behind TVD on Thursdays. Instead, the slot behind the CW’s top-rated show goes to historical drama Reign, which tells the story of Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane). Hart of Dixie, now on Tuesdays, shifts to Mondays, paired with the returning Beauty and the Beast. The CW is also creating Greg Berlanti Wednesdays (no, it’s not really calling it that) by putting Berlanti’s adaptation of seventies U.K. dystopian drama The Tomorrow People at 9 p.m., immediately after Berlanti’s successful superhero series Arrow. Fridays get a makeover with a relocated The Carrie Diaries and the still-going America’s Next Top Model. (Spoiler alert for Carrie: The CW says that next season we’ll get to see how Ms. Bradshaw met Samantha.) The CW says it will start its new season in October. It’s also saving new dramas The 100 and Star-Crossed for later in the season, along with six final episodes of Nikita
