Tom Cruise just left Guy Ritchie’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E., so naturally there’s a scramble to figure out who can fill those Cruisey shoes, with signs pointing to Henry “New Superman” Cavill. Variety reports that Cavill originally read for the role Armie Hammer is now set to play, so the project isn’t a new prospect for the former Tudors star. Warner Bros. will likely look to lock Cavill in quickly, as U.N.C.L.E. has been in development for ages, with origins as a Steven Soderbergh/George Clooney joint.
