Still no word on the fate of Happy Endings, but USA did announce today that it has ordered two original half-hour comedies. Sirens comes from Denis Leary and is based on the British show of the same name; it follows three Chicago EMTs who are silly and immature. Playing House was created by and stars Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair (RIP, Best Friends Forever) as childhood besties who reunite when one gets pregnant. USA has also ordered a pilot of Love Is Dead, set within a firm that breaks up romantic relationships for those too chickenshit to do the dumping on their own. All these shows sound like they would go well with Happy Endings, no?
