Simon Cowell Got Egg on His Face During the Britain’s Got Talent Finale

We can now add another chapter to the long, colorful history of people hating Simon Cowell: A woman named Natalie Holt stormed the stage during Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent finale and pelted Cowell and his fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams with raw eggs. The incident took place before Hungarian shadow dance troupe Attraction were crowned the winners, as singing Welsh brothers Richard and Adam Johnson were belting out “The Impossible Dream.” As it turns out, Holt is the Johnsons’ violinist, as well as an apparently disgruntled 2012 BGT contestant. She later told The Telegraph she was protesting “people miming on television” and “Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry.” Holt was promptly removed from the stage following the egg bomb and later issued an apology. ITV won’t be pressing charges. Above, you can see her approach Cowell around the 1:50-minute mark, but feel free to catch the Johnsons’ third place performance beforehand.
