J. Cole’s been performing a bunch of $1 concerts in tandem with the release of his sophomore album, Born Sinner, and Wednesday night’s gig featured an extended guest appearance from Cole’s buddy Drake. After the show they popped into Union Square’s Best Buy and basically cleaned the shelves of Cole’s CD and a few basketfuls of other albums (including Drake Care). And filmed it. One notable, potentially specious tidbit: A Best Buy clerk tells Cole his album has been moving more copies than Kanye West’s Yeezus, which dropped on the same day.
