As was initially speculated, a close friend of James Gandolfini’s told reporters earlier today that an autopsy has confirmed the actor died of a heart attack. “There was nothing out of the ordinary,” he said. “There was no foul play, there was no substance abuse, none of that.” With that out of the way, the family can now start working to get his body back to the States. The U.S. embassy in Rome said they will assist in the process.
