M.I.A.’s Mantagi was delayed back in December for being “too positive,” and according to the singer, who appeared on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show this afternoon, she is still having label issues. “I keep finishing the record, handing it in, finishing the record, handing it in. I’ve given up at this point.” At least she’s got a single, though — “Bring the Noize,” which sounds kind of like M.I.A. let a bunch of fourth graders loose in the percussion section of the music room and then managed to get them playing on beat. It will certainly sound good in movie trailers.
