Thanks to former girlfriend Chrissie Shrimpton, a clump of Sir Mick’s distinctive mane, which Shrimpton says her grandmother collected without her knowledge during a family outing in the early 1960s, will be auctioned off by Bonhams on July 3. The locks are expected to bring in an estimated $2,300 to $3,100 — significantly more than the $1,400 someone recently paid for some of fellow Rolling Stone Keith Richards’s hair. The proceeds for the sale will go to charity, in case you’re on the fence about bidding.
