As comedy stages become more and more common at music festivals, it would only make sense for comedy to get its own large-scale festival. And Tenacious D, who’ve been playing festivals for years, seem like just the guys to put it on. On October 19, Festival Supreme will take place across four stages on the Santa Monica Pier and feature a particularly stacked list of comedy and musical-comedy acts. Bob Odenkirk and David Cross (performing as “The Mr. Show Experience”), Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Silverman, Tig Notaro, Fred Armisen, and Craig Robinson are just some of the comedians who will be joining Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Maybe most surprising is Adam Sandler, who very rarely performs, and who, according to the D, will be playing some new material.
