Comedian Tom Scharpling, host of The Best Show on WFMU, has been directing excellent, funny rock music videos for years now, so it’s no surprise that his latest, for Kurt Vile’s song “KV Crimes” is very good. In real life, Vile’s hometown Philadelphia has declared August 28th “Kurt Vile Day” by the mayor, but in Scharpling’s video, he’s carried into town on a throne and treated to a feast of hoagies and Wawa drinks.
