Deadline reports that Rosemarie DeWitt has been cast to star in a reboot of Poltergeist. The film will be directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House) and written by David Lindsay-Abaire (Oz: The Great and Powerful). Not much is known about the plot, other than it focuses on a family who moves to an old suburban home and squares off against an evil spirit who kidnaps their kid. Since it’s 2013, the spirit will probably communicate to the kid through the family’s Netflix account.
