The early reports from Cannes were enthusiastic, if a little anxiety-provoking: Are you ready to watch Robert Redford lost at sea in a virtually wordless two-hour film? Or did you already allot all your nervous viewing (and meds, if necessary) to Gravity? If not, here is the trailer, which thankfully is only two minutes long and features more than 30 words. (Never mind that all of them are either SOS calls or “Help!”) On a scale of one to panic attack, it is only halfway there. Why are all the fall movies so stressful?
