Steve Wozniak and Ashton Kutcher, who plays Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic Jobs, have been playing a bit of e-mail tag. “He reached out to me via e-mail, and I reached out to him and tried to explain to him where we were coming from with the film, and I haven’t heard back from him,” Kutcher told us at a screening of the movie at the MoMA on Wednesday. “So I actually have absolutely no opinion [of him] other than he’s really responsible for creating one of the most brilliant tools in the world. I think it’s his savvy, know-how, and technical expertise that allowed Apple to become an extraordinary company, and I know he’s built several amazing things since then. And I think he was lucky to have Steve Jobs in his life, because I think Steve had a passion for making things simple, and he had a passion for making things accessible, whereas Woz had a passion for making things brilliant and efficient, and I think the combination of the two created great things for all of us to use.” For more from the carpet about first computers — and subway sharks — click through our slideshow.
