Mellody Hobson and her director husband George Lucas (American Graffiti, THX 1138) welcomed a daughter, Everest Hobson Lucas, on Aug. 9. Everest is the first biological child for both Lucas and Hobson; Lucas has three adopted children ages 20-32. The pair used a surrogate mother. Lucas, 69, and Hobson, 44, married at Skywalker Ranch in California’s Marin County on June 22. They have been together six years.
