For a second there on Sunday, it looked like One Direction fans had put their money where their tweets were and made the band’s concert film This Is Us the holiday weekend winners. Unfortunately for the young lads, the power of Oprah was far stronger than even 8,676,163 tweets because Lee Daniels’ The Butler ended the four-day holiday with a $20 million take — enough to put it in the top spot at the box office for a third week in a row. One Direction: This Is Us only opened to (a respectable) $18 million over four days. Better luck next time, boys.
