The Little Mermaid is getting a theatrical rerelease on September 20, and Disney’s got an idea. It’s called Second Screen Live, a free iPad app that will feature plot-oriented games, audience-wide competitions, and words for sing-alongs. If that seems like a nightmare, stay far away, or maybe try sitting in the very front if you absolutely have to hear “Part of Your World” as belted from cinema speakers. If it seems totally wonderful, bring your iPad and leave the extra butter off the popcorn, maybe.
