‘Peep Show’ Will End After Its Next Season

British sitcom Peep Show will wrap up after the next year after its 9th season airs in 2014. In an interview with Chortle, Phil Clarke, head of comedy at the UK’s Channel 4, said the show is “for sure” going to end. “We’re talking about Peep Show, how that’s going to be rounded off. The discussion is about how it’s going to conclude.” The show, which premiered in 2003, has been critically beloved but never exceptionally successful in the UK ratings.

The show’s creators, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, have also created the Channel 4 sitcom Fresh Meat, while stars Robert Webb and David Mitchell have filmed a new show for the BBC about two British diplomats working in Eastern Europe.
