Tina Fey to Host the ‘SNL’ Season Premiere; Miley Cyrus, Bruce Willis to Follow

Tina Fey is coming back to Saturday Night Live to host the season premiere, TV Guide Magazine reports. The musical guest for the September 28th first episode of the season will be Arcade Fire. Miley Cyrus will serve as host and musical guest for the October 5th episode, and Bruce Willis is set to host the October 12th episode with musical guest Katy Perry.

The season premiere will mark Tina Fey’s third time hosting the show; she previously hosted in 2008 and 2010. It’s the second time hosting for both Miley Cyrus and Bruce Willis. Cyrus previously hosted in 2011, while Willis hasn’t hosted since 1989, before Miley Cyrus was born.

SNL’s 39th season is its biggest transitional season since the show’s big 1995 changeover, with five new cast members (Beck Bennett, John Milhiser, Kyle Mooney, Michael Patrick O’Brien, Noël Wells) set to replace recently-departed Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Jason Sudeikis, with Seth Meyers expected to leave to host NBC’s Late Night midseason.
