Last we heard, Will Smith was “too expensive” for ID Forever Part 1 and Part 2, Roland Emmerich’s planned sequels to 1996’s Independence Day. Now Emmerich is backtracking a little, telling Digital Spy: “It’s changing every month. … I sometimes say no, Will Smith will be not in it because he didn’t want to do it at first. Now we kind of have a meeting planned, where we want to talk about it again, so anything can happen.” Django all over again? We’ll see.
