Fox announced in August that it was developing an American version of the British crime series Broadchurch, and now it seems star David Tennant will be reprising his role as one of the lead detectives investigating a child’s death in a tiny coastal town. According to TV Guide, Tennant will use an American accent for the part, which seems kind of sacrilegious. American Broadchurch (Broadmegachurch? Just spit-balling … ) is set to go into production in January with the hopes of landing on Fox’s schedule for the 2014–15 season. In the meantime, behold David Tennant’s super-ratty ponytail.
