Fox Gives John Mulaney a Series Order

For those familiar with John Mulaney’s stand-up, it always seemed like a forgone conclusion that he’d have a TV show one day. That’s why it was a surprise when NBC passed on it last spring, but not a huge one, as NBC is obviously making a push toward family sitcoms. Fox, on the other hand, is happy to have a show about young people being young and funny together. Today it was announced that Fox gave Mulaney a series order. As was speculated when Fox first got involved, it appears the show will undergo some cast changes, with only Mulaney and Martin Short (who plays his boss) sticking around. Hopefully, they’ve already started working on getting Ice-T to guest-star:
