Now, here’s a cast: Sarah Silverman, Topher Grace, and Patti Lupone. They will be the stars of the HBO pilot People in New Jersey, which is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and will be directed by Paul Feig. Despite looking nothing alike, Grace and Silverman play the children of the widowed Lupone. Bruce Eric Kaplan, a New Yorker cartoonist who’s written for Seinfeld, Six Feet Under, and Girls, will write the pilot. This is a real menagerie of folks, but it works for us.
