Writer/director Wes Anderson’s latest movie will be coming out fairly soon. The studio has announced they’re releasing the film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, on March 7th, 2014. A comedy-drama about a renowned European hotel’s respected concierge who takes on a young employee as his apprentice, Grand Budapest Hotel features a large ensemble cast made up of Wes Anderson regulars and non-Wes Anderson regulars alike. The cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, and Jason Schwartzman. The March release date is a bit strange considering that Anderson’s movies are usually awards contenders and awards contenders are usually released at the end of the year so they’re fresh in voters’ memories, but Anderson’s prior movie, Moonrise Kingdom, got plenty of awards attention last year despite a June release.
Grand Budpest Hotel’s trailer is expected to be released tomorrow. Check out the poster below:
