Dan Aykroyd and Jill Scott have been cast alongside lead Chadwick Boseman in the upcoming James Brown biopic Get On Up. Aykroyd will play Ben Bart, president of Brown’s long-time agency Universal Attractions, while Scott will portray the late singer’s wife. The two join Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Lennie James on the film, which starts shooting this month. Still no word on who will be playing any of James Brown’s dozens upon dozens of sweat-soaked capes.
