NBC Orders 5 More Episodes of ‘Sean Saves the World’

NBC hasn’t ordered a full season of its new sitcom Sean Saves the World, but they’ve given the show the next best thing: five more episodes. This extends the show’s episode order to 18 for the season, just four short of a 22-episode full season. The Sean Hayes sitcom has been struggling in the ratings a little bit, like most NBC shows, but the show’s ratings have improved slightly since the network started using The Voice as its lead-in instead of Parks and Rec. As far as NBC’s other new comedies go, Welcome to the Family has been canceled and The Michael J. Fox Show received an early full 22-episode order when NBC bought the show sight unseen last year.
