The calendar year is winding down, but there’s still plenty of exciting stuff happening in the TV world. Adult Swim’s Eagleheart, starring Chris Elliott, returns for its third season Thursday night at midnight. Unlike the first couple seasons of the show, season three will follow one long story arc under the title Eagleheart: Paradise Rising. Just like one long Eagleheart movie. The 10-part run of episodes sees co-stars Maria Thayer and Brett Gelman returning as Chris Elliott’s Chris Monsanto goes on a “quest to find his missing friend, prove his innocence in a ghastly death and uncover the shocking truth behind the origins of the U.S. Marshals Service.” Check out the Paradise Rising trailer here.
On Sunday, Eastbound & Down is set to air its final episode, the show’s second series finale after Danny McBride and Jody Hill ended the show last year but surprisingly opted to bring it back for one last season. The final episode will see the end of the Kenny Powers saga as we find out what happens to his family and sports talk show, although McBride has said they may wind up resurrecting the show years in the future.
