Fox is beefing up its post-Super Bowl shows with some big name stars. Not only will Prince have a guest appearance on New Girl, but Adam Sandler is also set to show up on the now Golden Globe-nominated Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
“We’re hoping a lot of people will check out the show for the first time, because the entire universe watches the Super Bowl,” series creator Mike Schur told E! of the episode, “and so we really just wanted to sort of introduce the characters to a wider audience. We tried to just build a couple stories that are really explaining in the funniest way who everyone is.” Both Prince and Sandler – who is shooting his Brooklyn episode this week – will play themselves in their respective episodes, so hopefully they can help these shows score a few more viewers.
