An MBE stands for “Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire,” and while it does not mean that we get to call her Dame Adele, it does mean that Adele got to go to Buckingham Palace and meet Prince Charles and be really wonderful on-camera. Below is footage of the ceremony; note the little hula-hoop move at around 37 seconds in, and the expert side-eye at 48 seconds. (Did Prince Charles just ask her about Beyoncé? Does Prince Charles know about Beyoncé?) Also, she’s wearing a netted veil. Adele continues to be very good at accepting awards of all kind.
