The grievous wound left by the cancellation of Don’t Trust the B- in Apartment 23 can finally start to heal now that ABC has ordered another comedy pilot from Apt. 23 creator Nahnatchka Khan. Based on chef Eddie Huang’s 2013 memoir, Fresh Off The Boat focuses on a Chinese family that immigrates to the greater Orlando area in the nineties. We’re going to go ahead and point out that the Huangs probably need a hilarious neighbor and James Van Der Beek was everywhere in the nineties. We’re just saying.
