Chevy Chase is already planning his return to television. According to THR, the former Community regular is currently developing a comedy series with his National Lampoon’s Vacation costar Beverly D’Angelo and producer Aaron Kaplan, who worked as an EP on The Lonely Island’s 2005 Fox pilot Awesometown. The project doesn’t yet have a writer, script, or studio attached but will be considered by ABC for the 2015-2016 season.
This isn’t the first attempt at a Mr. and Mrs. Griswold reunion. Back in March, the pair was reported to make a cameo in the Vacation reboot starring Ed Helms, but the project was delayed indefinitely due to “creative differences” and has yet to begin shooting.
