The third installment in her Thomas Cromwell trilogy (The Mirror and the Light) is not due until 2015, but Mantel has apparently already fast-forwarded four centuries to the reign of the Iron Lady. The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher, a collection of ten short stories featuring the former prime minister in “contemporary settings,” will be published in September.
