‘Parks and Recreation’ Renewed for Seventh Season

At a Television Critics Association panel over the weekend, NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt was pressed about whether or not Parks and Rec would be returning for another season. While he said he was initially “bullish” on the show’s chances, Greenblatt eventually said: “I’m going out on a limb: Parks and Recreation is going to have a seventh season.” No news how many episodes it will be or whether or not it’ll make the series’ final season, and according to NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke, the decision does not affect whether or not Community will also get a new season pickup. Considering Parks is losing two big characters next week with the departure of Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe, it should be interesting to find out where Amy Poehler and company plan to take the series next year.
