As if a Veronica Mars movie wasn’t enough, here’s a Veronica Mars “digital series spinoff” to go with it. The CW announced the series today, as well as VM creator Rob Thomas’s involvement, both of which sound pretty promising. While there are no other details currently available, we’re hoping the spinoff will feature Veronica to some extent. Then again, there’s probably no resident of Neptune VM fans wouldn’t happily follow. Really, pick anyone. Dick? Gia? That guitar-store clerk from that one episode who turns out to be the E-String Strangler? All great. Update: “The CW web series: a comedy featuring @HiRyanHansen attempting to put together a Dick Casablancas spin-off of #VeronicaMars. No date yet,” Thomas tweeted Wednesday night. Ah, it’s as good as we’d hoped.
