Variety reports that Adam Driver is close to a deal to star as the villain in Star Wars: Episode VII, reportedly beating out two practiced villain actors, Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving. According to Variety, the only thing holding the deal up is Driver’s Girls schedule, but that should be worked out, as this is freaking Star Wars – its catering budget is probably more than Girls costs to make in total. (And we thought Hannah was having a hard time with this whole Major Barbara thing.) The only thing we know about the character is that he’ll be in the “vein” of Darth Vader. Either way, we’re glad Adam got over his outer-space phobia.
