Justin Long is taking his first regular TV job in over a decade. He’s been cast as the lead in Sober Companion, a new Fox pilot, TV Line reports. Created by David S. Rosenthal (The Middle, 90210) and Jennie Snyder Urman (90210), Sober Companion is a single-camera sitcom that follows a self-destructive attorney who is given a court-appointed sober companion (played by Long), an eccentric upbeat guy named Jeremy. If Sober Companion gets ordered to series, it’ll be the first series regular role Justin Long, who recently recurred on New Girl and CBS’s Mom, has had since NBC’s Ed went off the air in 2004.
