TNT has canceled Frank Darabont’s L.A.-set noir miniseries Mob City, the network confirmed. “Although the ratings of the limited series haven’t warranted more hours we are eager to work with Frank Darabont again,” TNT’s spokesperson said in a statement. (Does this mean Darabont will now be able to talk smack about two networks? Time will tell.) Mob aired six episodes over three weeks in December, and despite its aesthetic gorgeousness, was really just so-so; lots of gun play and moody visuals, but about flat characters with bland motivations.
