Here’s an early 4/20 present for stoners everywhere: LA Times reports that Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are working with Jay Chandrasekhar – member of the comedy troupe Broken Lizard, writer/director of Super Troopers and Beerfest, and director behind episodes of a handful of shows from Arrested Development to Community – to make their next Cheech & Chong movie.
“He’s working on a script right now for us,” Chong told CelebStoner.com of Chandrasekhar. “We’ve had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It will be about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It’s going to be a lot of fun.” Chong added that the film could start shooting as early as this summer, and if it makes it to theaters, it will be the first official Cheech & Chong movie since 1984’s Cheech & Chong’s The Corsican Brothers.
