As first reported by the New York Post and confirmed by EW, director Garry Marshall is currently in New York with producer Paula Wagner to meet with composers and directors about developing a Pretty Woman musical. Marshall will reportedly write the musical’s book with screenwriter J.F. Lawton. With any luck, the show will be ready in time for its 25th anniversary next year and contain numbers like “Take Care of You,” “I Want the Fairy Tale” and of course that timeless classic “I Think We Both Know She’s Not My Niece.”
