Here’s your first trailer-trailer for NBC’s Rosemary’s Baby miniseries, starring Zoe Saldana and Suits’ Patrick J. Adams. It’s set in Paris, and for that and likely many other reasons will not be confused with Roman Polanski’s 1968 adaptation. Saldana looks wan and troubled enough, and Jason Isaacs sure can give a creepy stare, but only one part of this trailer is actually upsetting. “You were chosen to be his mother,” purrs Isaacs. “By who?!” says Saldana. [Screams.] Oh, for the love of God! By whom. If it’s a question that could be answered with “him,” then use “whom”; we can all remember this by noting that both words end in M. Maybe when Satan comes back to Earth, he can use his reign of terror to teach everyone to respect the difference between subjects and objects.
