ABC announced a bunch of changes last night, including some renewals, cancellations, and new series pickups. In the comedy sphere, freshman shows Trophy Wife and Mixology were both given the axe, while renewals were handed out to The Goldbergs, The Middle, and awards juggernaut Modern Family. New shows that have been picked up include Selfie from Suburgatory creator Emily Kapnek, romantic comedy Manhattan Love Story, and a musical fairy tale-themed comedy called Galavant. While there are still several comedy pilots up for consideration, THR reports that the Paul F. Tompkins/Molly Shannon-starring series Bambi Cottages from Happy Endings writer Brian Gallivan has been sadly passed over as well as Christopher Moynihan’s St. Francis.
