Moviefone Is Reinventing Itself As a Modern TV Guide

Moviefone lives on! (Well, sort of. Minus the fone part). According to the New York Times, the 25-year-old telephone movie-listing service is reinventing itself as “an app-age TV Guide” that will allow users to sort through available digital streaming options to easily find content. While it will continue to sell movie tickets and list showtimes, the new Moviefone aims to serve as a “one-stop shop to find movies and TV shows, wherever they are showing, airing, streaming, or downloading.” After searching for a film or show, users will have access to both live broadcast times and on-demand viewing options such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, iTunes, and more, while avoiding lots of annoying clicking and scrolling. Welcome to the digital age, Moviefone.
