We’ve already shared two trailers for Michel Gondry’s Mood Indigo, but they were completely in French, as they were in anticipation of the film’s French release. Now that the film has a Stateside release scheduled — July 18 — we get some English subtitles. An adaptation of the French novel L’écume des Jours, it tells the story of the inventor (Romain Duris) of a instrument that mixes drinks based on what notes are played, who falls in love with a woman (Audrey Tautou) who gets sick and can only be treated by being surrounded by flowers. It really couldn’t be any more Michel Gondry, even if it had Björk shouting from a puppet forest.
