Kristen Bell will get to show off her musical chops once more. The Veronica Mars and Frozen star has been cast alongside Weeds’ Hunter Parrish and Glee’s Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz in the Hollywood Bowl’s performance of Hair, which will run this summer from August 1 through 3. Adam Shankman will direct the freewheeling ode to ‘60s counterculture, with Bell playing Sheila, Parrish as Claude, and Ushkowitz and Riley as Jeanie and Dionne, respectively. Fabulous news for fans of the iconic tribal love-rock musical, and for all of us who enjoy Kristen Bell’s delightful singing voice but never want to hear “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” ever again.
