You watch a trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction and it’s clear that it’s a big movie. But what exactly does that mean? Media critic Kevin B. Lee has made a brilliant desktop documentary that captures exactly how big it was. Using hours and hours of footage uploaded to the internet by onlookers who shot video of the production worldwide, and intercutting that with maps and text from news stories, Lee creates an incredible portrait of the production of an international blockbuster. The film opens Stateside on June 27. It’s in 3-D.
