Feast your eyes on the trailer for Ouija, a film based on the Hasbro board “game” that enables players to communicate with the spirit world. In the cinematic adaptation, a bunch of teens (including Bates Motel’s Olivia Cooke, The Secret Life of the American Teenager’s Daren Kagasoff, and The Fosters’ Bianca A. Santos) awaken an ancient spirit board’s dark powers while attempting to talk to their dead friend. Produced by Michael Bay, Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious), and Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (The Purge, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th), the film looks like it has the potential to be pretty scary, even though it’s based on a children’s board game. Just think of how scary Jumanji was, only this time there’s no scruffy Robin Williams to save all the teens from being murdered by ghosts. Sorry, teens!
