The already-too-long Casey Kasem saga takes another maddening twist: After taking his remains from a funeral home in Tacoma and sending them to Montreal, Jean Kasem — Casey’s surviving spouse and official pain of the Kasem children — is reportedly going to bury his body in Norway. His three eldest children have said that his body is supposed to be interred in Glendale, California, but Jean Kasem has claimed “Norwegian roots” and plans to move there later this year. She wrote a letter to the Funeral Agency in Oslo claiming that her husband thought Norway symbolized “peace” and “look[ed] like heaven.” As for the beleaguered Kasem children, the Los Angeles Times reports that a spokesman for his daughter Kerri wrote in an email, “We are trying to confirm if Jean is lying again about her heritage.”
